Dynamic horse and rider sculpture with a strong sense of life and movement, and an ethereal and contemplative feel.
The Nature-Spirit Riders have come out of the woods together after a long journey, and are cantering along in an easy harmony. Perhaps they represent something that we long to return to, and which still remains available for us to remember. Nature-Spirit Rider XI is cantering on his horse, which is outstretched and pivoting over its front leg ready for the next stride, while the rider is looking forwards towards the future.
The sculpture is made of made of a modern British eco-resin which allows me to reproduce the beautiful semi-translucent cream colour of the original wax into a durable form. The vibrant contemporary material brings a special resonance and allows for interesting glimpses through to the armature, or internal structure of the sculpture. It is for sale as a limited edition of 24, and is mounted on a semi-translucent, almost black, flat acrylic base. It is 19cm long, 17cm tall, and 7cm wide including the base. The sculpture is initialled on the inside of the top of the horse’s left hind leg, and come with a signed letter of authentication stating its edition number.
Nature-Spirit Rider XI is beautiful to live with and provides a moment of surprise as we glimpse them running across our furniture, offering a chance for a fresh perspective.
Although this sculpture looks delicate it is actually much more robust than it appears, as well as being lightweight, and can withstand small knocks and movements in the home. I package it in a sturdy cardboard box and it travels very well by courier.
Nature-Spirit Rider XI is one of a series of three that can be purchased either separately or together. See my further listings for others in the series, and please feel free to send me a message with any questions - there is a link to my email at the bottom of each page.
Thank you so much for your interest in this sculpture.
