Bizarre Creature Rider II

A strikingly coloured bizarre creature and its rider, offering a humorous take on life’s many twists and turns.

This is one of a series of people sitting steadily on their Bizarre Creatures, whatever aerial acrobatics they might express. The riders are equally balanced whether their creatures are running along in a steady direction, gliding through the air with a grace not expected from such a blobular form, or leaping up in a sudden expressive imperative.

This Bizarre Creature is leaping upwards, maybe having been startled by something, or maybe out of a need to let out energy. The rider has to compensate to accommodate it, but is happy to allow the creature its expression.

Bizarre creatures which question what we think of as familiar, and re-assure us with security in the midst of movement.

Bizarre Creature Rider II is made of a beautiful translucent British eco-resin, allowing interesting glimpses through to its internal structure. It is mounted on a semi-translucent almost black flat acrylic base, and is 11cm long, 20cm tall, and 6.5cm wide, including the base. It is for sale as a limited edition of 24, and the whole series are available from my further listings.

The sculpture is initialled on the creature’s right side near its end, and comes with a signed letter of authentication, stating its edition number. It is robust as well as lightweight, and can withstand small knocks and movements in the home. I package it in a sturdy cardboard box and it travels very well by courier.
