A brightly coloured galloping creature that give us an unexpected view into a more humorous world.
A small sculpture that transforms our furniture into its own landscape, created in a beautiful vibrant British eco-resin that is distinctive and affordable.
This sculpture is the third of a series of three Tiny Riders, who are perched on the top of their narrow, transparent, jewel-like creatures as they lollop along. The rocking of the cantering means that the movements of the riders describe a large arch through the air, making them at once stationary and wildly mobile. The colours of the creatures alternately blend in with or stand out from their environment, camouflaging or highlighting them in equal measure.
The green creature is landing forwards in a downward motion, and the rider feels comfortable enough to let his free arm hang loosely behind him.
Tiny Rider III is made of a beautiful translucent British eco-resin, allowing interesting glimpses through to its internal structure. It is mounted on a semi-translucent almost black, flat acrylic base, and is 12cm long, 9cm tall, and 5cm wide including the base. It is for sale as a limited edition of 24. It is initialled on the creature’s right side near its tail, and comes with a signed letter of authentication, stating its edition number. See my further listings to purchase any of the others in the series or the whole group together.
The sculpture is relatively robust and can withstand small knocks and movements in the home. I package it in a sturdy cardboard box and it travels very well by courier.
Tiny Rider III is beautiful to live with, and provides a moment of surprise as you glimpse it running across your furniture, offering a chance to see things afresh.
